A South African man, Nkosinathi Phakathi, has been sentenced to 42 life terms for assaulting schoolgirls and young women over nine years. Posing as an electrician, he gained entry into victims’ homes, committing 90 rapes. Judge Makolomakwe condemned the heinous nature of his crimes. Phakathi’s other charges included kidnapping and assault.
