Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar warned against the growing trend of Indian students pursuing foreign education, calling it a “disease” that contributes to a “$6 billion forex drain.” He criticized the commercialization of education, urging parents and students to reconsider studying abroad. Dhankhar emphasized strengthening Indian institutions, particularly in tier 2 and 3 cities, to curb this trend.
