An Iranian hacking group linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is targeting US election-related websites and media outlets. Microsoft has identified the group, known as ‘Cotton Sandstorm’, conducting reconnaissance in swing states and probing for vulnerabilities. This activity signals potential interference as the election nears. Iran’s UN mission denies these claims, calling them unfounded.
