Air quality in Mumbai worsened after firecrackers were lit, with AQI levels rising from poor to severe. Humid and non-windy conditions caused smog. PM2.5 levels increased by 38% and PM10 levels by 23% compared to the previous day. Areas such as Byculla, Deonar, and Sewri saw significant pollution spikes.
