India and China have made progress in disengaging along the Line of Actual Control, particularly at Demchok and Depsang Plains. External affairs minister S Jaishankar highlighted this as a welcome step, following talks between Prime Minister Modi and President Xi. This disengagement may lead to further positive developments in their relationship.
