Hundreds protested in Churachandpur, demanding justice for the 10 “armed militants” killed in the Nov 11 Jiribam gunfight. Kuki-Zo groups allege the deceased were “volunteers” protecting villages from valley-based attackers. They cite the alleged rape and murder of a woman at Zairawn on November 7 as evidence of the threat.
