A Rajasthan woman endured months of agonizing abdominal pain after doctors at Kuchaman Govt Hospital left a surgical towel inside her during a C-section. The oversight, misdiagnosed as a lump at other hospitals, was finally discovered and rectified during a five-hour surgery at AIIMS, Jodhpur. The retained towel severely damaged her intestines and impacted her newborn’s nutrition.
