Democratic lawmakers are urging Joe Biden to curb the presidential authority to utilize nuclear weapons before Donald Trump takes office in January. Currently a sitting president is the sole authority to authorize the use of nuclear weapons. But Senator Ed Markey and Representative Ted Lieu, have written to Biden, telling him to change the current US policy to require Congress to sign off on any use of nuclear weapons. n18oc_world n18oc_crux
