Houthis “Down 13th MQ-9 Drone” With Soviet KuB SAM, IDF Hits Gaza Launchers That Fired at Jerusalem

Yemen’s Houthis claimed on December 28 they intercepted a US MQ-9 Reaper drone over al-Bayda province using domestically-made surface-to-air missiles. The group stated the drone was conducting a “hostile mission” and marked the 13th aircraft downed during their campaign, “Battle of Promised Conquest and Holy Jihad,” in Gaza’s support. The Houthis also claimed a hypersonic missile strike on Israel’s Nevatim Airbase, although Israel reported interception.
