Health insurers in Mumbai paid 71.3% of the Rs 1.2 lakh crore claims outstanding during FY24. Insurers handled over 3 crore claims, with 2.7 crore claims worth Rs 83,493 crore paid. Public sector insurers had the highest incurred claims ratio at 103%. Complaints were notably from Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Chandigarh.
