Donald Trump announced country-specific reciprocatory tariffs heralding the golden age of America. As he announced the tariffs, he said he did not impose the exact tariff that the countries charge on US products but has been kinder. Higher tariffs have been imposed on the worst offenders. The stock market took a hit in after-hours trading following President Trump’s announcement of broad new tariffs.
