A film and television director, reportedly driving drunk, crashed into a crowded market in Thakurpukur, Kolkata. This incident resulted in the death of one person and critically injured at least eight others. Residents of the area attacked the driver and vandalized his car. Police arrested the driver and took another woman into custody.
