US President-elect Donald Trump said that he is working to secure the release of the Israeli hostages held in Gaza. “We are trying to help very strongly in getting the hostages back,” Trump said on Dec. 16 during his first news conference since his election victory.The incoming US President reiterated that Hamas must reach a deal with Israel before he takes office on Jan. 20, or face the consequences.
