Manipur Violence Latest: Total Curfew Imposed In Imphal West Amid Law And Order Concerns | News18A complete curfew has been imposed in Imphal West, Manipur, by the district magistrate, with effect from 4:30 PM on November 16, 2024, until further notice. The decision was made in response to the region’s evolving law and order situation.A November 15, 2024, ruling had previously allowed curfew relaxation from 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM on the same day. But rising tensions forced the relaxation order to be revoked and more stringent measures to be implemented.The District Magistrate emphasized the importance of maintaining local peace and public safety in an official statement. The purpose of the curfew is to limit people’s ability to leave their homes in order to avoid any unfortunate events.
