Syrian authorities closed Aleppo airport as well as all roads leading into the city on Nov. 30, three military sources told Reuters. The Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and allied factions now control ‘most of’ Aleppo city, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor. This came as opposition forces against President Bashar al-Assad said they had reached the heart of Aleppo. The Syrian army has been told to follow “safe withdrawal” orders from the main areas of the city that the opposition forces have entered, three army sources told Reuters. The opposition fighters, led by the opposition militant group HTS, carried out a surprise sweep through government-held towns this week. They reached Aleppo nearly a decade after having been forced out by al-Assad and his allies. 00:00 – INTRODUCTION 02:47 – TURKEY Vs RUSSIA IN SYRIA?n18oc_world n18oc_crux
