Russian spokeswoman Maria Zakharova warned France that long-range missiles sent to Ukraine could target the French Embassy in Moscow. Zakharova slammed the French Defence Minister’s backing for Ukrainian strikes “beyond the frontline” with long-range Scalp missiles. “I would like to say this to Sebastien Lecornu: When the Kyiv regime strikes ‘beyond the frontline,’ let’s hope it does not hit the French Embassy (in Moscow).” Zakharova said European leaders are persuading US President Joe Biden to authorise Kyiv’s long-range strikes on Russia before his term ends in January.
