Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav affirmed the INDIA bloc’s unity, confirming their joint participation in the 2027 Uttar Pradesh elections. He accused the BJP of internal discord and manipulating upcoming panchayat polls. Yadav also pledged a caste-based census if his party forms the government, criticising the BJP’s governance and asserting the SP-Congress alliance’s success in the recent Lok Sabha elections.
