Iranian authorities are preparing to respond to Israel’s Oct. 26 attack on its soil, an advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader has said. “Military officials are planning various strategies to respond to Israel,” Ali Larijani said in an interview with Tasnim News. The statement was followed by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s call for a death sentence against Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu on Nov. 25, reported Iran International. Khamenei also said that an International Criminal Court arrest warrant for war crimes against Netanhayhu and his ex-defence minister is insufficient. He also accused Israel of committing war crimes in Gaza and Lebanon. Larijani’s remarks came shortly after the body of an Israeli rabbi was found in the UAE following his abduction by an allegedly Iran-linked cell.
