GST collections in October increased by 8.9% to Rs 1,87,346 crore, marking it the second highest monthly collection ever. The growth was primarily driven by a 10.6% rise in domestic transactions. However, imports saw a moderate growth of 3.9%. Concerns persist regarding slowing urban consumption, despite strong Diwali sales. Refunds on domestic accounts also surged.
