Bibek Debroy, a renowned scholar and polymath, passed away at 69. Notable for translating Indian scriptures like the Mahabharata and Ramayana, he contributed significantly to economics and public policy. As chairman of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister, he left a lasting intellectual legacy and was awarded the Padma Shri in 2015.
