The Budget introduces an Urban Challenge Fund (UCF) of Rs 1 lakh crore to drive innovative and sustainable urbanisation in cities. Expected to generate about Rs 4 lakh crore for infrastructure development, the UCF will finance projects with a mix of grants, bonds, and loans, focusing on redevelopment and urban improvements.
