Chhattisgarh experienced over 70% of the country’s Left-wing extremist violence in 2024, with incidents decreasing by 25% nationwide since 2019. Despite earlier declines, violence surged in 2022 and 2023 due to intensified security operations. Naxalite influence has shrunk significantly, with affected districts dropping to 38 in April 2024. Amit Shah aims to eradicate LWE by March 2026.
