A priest, Iyyagari Venkata Sai Krishna, was sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering aspiring TV actress, Kuruganti Apsara, in June 2023. He bludgeoned her to death and concealed her body in a sealed manhole. The court fined him Rs 10 lakh.
