Dozens of University of Hyderabad students were detained by Cyberabad police after protesting against land clearing near Mushroom Rock. Students claimed police arrested them arbitrarily and stormed academic spaces. Four earth movers were deployed with heavy police presence. Police shifted the protesters to different stations and may file criminal cases against some students. Police have increased security.
