Indian and Chinese troops exchanged sweets along the LAC on Diwali, following the recent disengagement in Demchok and Depsang Plains. This comes after extensive talks to de-escalate 2020 tensions. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh expressed optimism, and Chinese Ambassador Xu Feihong emphasized constructive conflict management. The engagement also saw a meeting between PM Modi and President Xi Jinping.
