Maharashtra’s share in India’s GDP has decreased from 15.2% in 2010-11 to 13.3% in 2023-24, according to an EAC-PM paper. In contrast, Gujarat’s share has risen from 7.5% to 8.1% during the same period. Maharashtra still maintains the highest GDP share among states.
