Bombay High Court has ruled that compensation from a mediclaim policy cannot be deducted from the payout under the Motor Vehicles Act for medical expenses. The court clarified that such payouts are separate and compensatory, thus ensuring accident victims receive complete and fair compensation without deductions for insurance payouts.
