President Xi Jinping assured China’s support to Bangladesh’s interim government and pledged to expand economic cooperation in a meeting with chief adviser Muhammad Yunus. Xi promised to encourage Chinese manufacturing enterprises to relocate to Bangladesh, granting duty-free product access. Bangladesh invited Chinese companies for a river project, previously planned with India.
