In Chhindwara district, two youths tortured a 14-year-old boy and his friend, accusing them of stealing a watch. They were hung upside down, beaten, and burned with chilli-infused embers. Onlookers filmed the incident instead of helping. Following a viral video, the victim’s father lodged a police complaint, leading to an investigation against the accused.
