The Gauri Shankar Temple in Moradabad reopened after 44 years. The temple was closed following the 1980 violence where the priest was killed and idols were damaged. Recently, the priest’s grandson submitted an application, leading to its reopening. The district administration found several damaged idols during excavation and has planned their preservation.
