Ajit Pawar’s decision to field his wife, Sunetra, against his cousin, Supriya Sule, caused a rift in the Pawar family. Shrinivas Pawar, Ajit’s younger brother, chose to side with their uncle, Sharad Pawar. Shrinivas’ son, Yugendra, is now running against Ajit in Baramati, with the family divided between Ajit and Sharad Pawar.
