The US government has implemented a ban on its personnel in China, including diplomats and their families, from engaging in romantic relationships with Chinese citizens. Initiated in January by former Ambassador Nicholas Burns, the policy aims to mitigate espionage risks and is enforced through immediate expulsion for any violations.
