VC Fund CEO shares Musk’s ‘WFH is poison’ emails; he responds

In summer 2022, Elon Musk, Tesla’s CEO, mandated a minimum of 40 in-office work hours per week for employees. He warned managers that absence would be considered resignation. Musk emphasized the importance of in-person presence, particularly for senior staff, citing his own factory presence as crucial to Tesla’s success. Exceptions for exceptional contributors required his direct approval.
