At least 5 people have died and 35 others are seriously injured after a bus carrying pilgrims, plunged into a gorge in Gujarat’s Dang district. The accident took place at 4:15 am when the driver lost control of the wheels of the bus due to a brake failure. The bus broke the crash barrier and fell into a 35-feet deep gorge. The private bus was carrying around 48 pilgrims and was on a trip to various religious places. As per the police, the bus driver is dead along with another man and 2 women. More than 30 passengers are undergoing treatment at the nearby community health centre. Four buses with pilgrims on board had departed from Madhya Pradesh’s Guna district towards the end of December.
