The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has extended the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act (AFSPA) in Manipur, Nagaland, and Arunachal Pradesh for six more months due to ongoing security concerns. The move aims to address insurgency and maintain order amid continued ethnic violence, particularly in Manipur since May 2023.
