A powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake in Myanmar has caused widespread devastation, toppling buildings and leaving at least 144 dead. The tremors were felt as far as Thailand, where construction sites collapsed, adding to the aftermath’s chaos. A state of emergency has been declared as rescue efforts continue.
