Bangladesh’s new banknotes to exclude Mujibur’s image

Bangladesh’s interim government, led by Muhammad Yunus, has ordered the central bank to redesign banknotes, removing the image of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The new currency, featuring religious imagery and symbols of the July uprising, is expected within six months.
