Uttarakhand is set to implement a green cess on out-of-state vehicles starting next month. The cess, ranging from ₹20 to ₹80, will be collected via FASTag, utilizing automatic number-plate recognition. Two-wheelers, CNG, and electric vehicles are exempt, along with government and emergency vehicles. Tenders for the required equipment are currently open, closing on December 11.
