The CBI conducted searches at 16 locations across three states. The searches were related to an illegal stone mining scam in Jharkhand. The scam involves Pankaj Mishra, an alleged political aide of Jharkhand’s chief minister. The CBI recovered cash, gold, silver and the property documents worth crores were also seized.
