Delhi received 41.2 mm of rain in the past 24 hours till 8.30 am on Saturday, marking the highest single-day December rainfall in 101 years. The heavy rainfall resulted from an active western disturbance and its interaction with easterly winds. The city’s air quality improved to ‘moderate,’ with an AQI of 152.
