In Sonprayag, police caught ambulances being misused. Pilgrims were using them to bypass the Kedarnath trek queue. The ambulances were stopped near the Acrow bridge. Drivers claimed ignorance about the scheme. They said they were only following instructions. Police issued challans and seized the vehicles. The incident highlights attempts to circumvent rules during the pilgrimage.
