‘History manipulated’: VP on ‘downsizing’ of some heroes of freedom struggle

Vice president Jagdeep Dhankhar criticised the selective glorification in India’s history, highlighting the neglect of unsung heroes like Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh in historical narratives. He called for rectifying misrepresentations and recognizing all contributions to India’s independence. He also emphasised farmers’ welfare as crucial for achieving the goal of a developed nation by 2047.
