Minority religious leaders in Bangladesh have appealed to interim government chief adviser Muhammad Yunus to consider the bail plea of Hindu monk Chinmoy Krishna Das, facing sedition charges. A bail hearing is rescheduled for January 2nd. Two individuals were remanded in Chittagong concerning the death of Saiful Islam Alif, who died in clashes following the denial of Das’s bail.
