Hardik Pandya will miss the initial Vijay Hazare Trophy matches due to personal commitments but plans to join the Baroda team, led by his brother Krunal, later in the tournament. Hardik had a strong Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy performance with both bat and ball. Baroda reached the SMAT semi-finals, losing to eventual champions Mumbai despite Krunal’s contribution.
