Goa Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar dismissed the disqualification petition against eight MLAs who switched from Congress to BJP. He cited a Supreme Court ruling that protected their actions as two-thirds of the Congress legislature party members approved the merger, preventing disqualification under the 10th schedule.
