Jaydeep Mukherjee, director of Nasa Florida Space Grant Consortium, warned that a Chinese lunar landing before the US would be embarrassing for America. He highlighted ongoing technical issues and cost overruns with Nasa’s Artemis missions. Mukherjee stated that solving these problems is critical to achieving the 2026 target for a manned US lunar landing.
