A Mumbai techie fell victim to a well-planned scam involving a fake spiritual guide and app, DevineTalk. Convinced to perform cleansing rituals, he was extorted out of Rs 12.20 lakh. The fraudsters escalated psychological pressure, leading him to max out his credit cards and borrow money. He reported the scam to cyber police after realizing the deceit.
