Protesters in Bangladesh have besieged the presidential palace, demanding President Mohammed Shahabuddin’s resignation. The protests, starting in July over job quotas, intensified, leading to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s resignation and the establishment of an interim government headed by Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus.
