Chennai Super Kings have retained five crucial players, including captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and veteran MS Dhoni, for the IPL 2025, despite missing the playoffs last season. Ravindra Jadeja, Matheesha Pathirana, and Shivam Dube are also retained. Each franchise was allowed to keep up to six players for the upcoming auction. October 31 marked the final date for all ten IPL teams to finalise their retention lists.
