Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh criticised the disappearance of Laishram Kamalbabu from the Leimakhong Army camp, urging central and state efforts to locate him. Kamalbabu, a contractor for Military Engineering Services, went missing on November 25, prompting an extensive search operation by the Indian Army, but with no success yet.
